When searching for the terms

I get zero results. Yet the terms appear in many threads (I know from memory).

Are three letter words excluded from searches and if so, can we have an exception list?

So it's a general issue with 3-letter acronyms and such it seems. Neither BOV nor "BOV" return results either. This could become a hassle because people often search specifically for 3-letter acronyms on the site -- and people are often instructed to search for 3-letter acronyms on the site.

Yes, the 3-letter acronym seems to define the archetype of this problem. I just tried "KYB GR2" and... nothing. I'm sure someone has discussed KYB GR2s on this site...

With the new forum software, vBulletin has completely redesigned the search function and the default minimum character length is automatically set to 4 to prevent a bloated database size. Unfortunately I'm unable to lower that limit. If it's possible for us to change it, I'll have to get Tim's help with it since it has to do with our server settings. I'll talk to him when he gets back from vacation.

Can you guys make a list of popular 3-letter key words? Lowering the limit to 3 characters will inflate the database a lot so 3-letter searching will need to seem worth it.
