CLOSED - post count drop? - Rogan

what could happen to make your post count go down. mine jumped from 355ish to 337. not that it really matters. ive notice it happen before though, so just wondering why. i was just excited to be over 350 haha

We had a glitch when we were doing server migrations a few times.

we had an issue awhile ago where a lot of threads disappeared and the post counts went down.

have you been recently posting in a thread that got locked or posts got deleted? thats the only thing i can thank of.

idk could be. i was on one that should have been closed. it was getting out of hand between few guys. i didnt know closed threads took posts away

they dont- i meant to say "have you been recently posting in a thread that got locked AND posts got deleted"

sometimes when threads get way off topic- mods will do a "clean up" and delete the jibber jabber

Posts/threads got deleted (either intentionally or accidentally)

Thread got moved to a section that doesn't increase post count (e.g., stuff in Off-Topic is often not reflected in post count, not sure how it's setup here)

I'd guess one of those two scenarios.

aw i see, well interesting. im still learning about this sight after this long of a time haha. but like i said its not that important but i was just wondering. thank you for the comments.
