I am getting the same error when I try to post in the new member hangout.
I had this error too when I tired posting in the wheel and suspension forum. I tired a few different things like changing the length of the post but what seemed to work was changing the title of my post. Originally I had "Tire Size Question stock 2003 WRX" but it didn't like this. I tried several variations until I reached "Tire Size Question" and this worked. Maybe it doesn't like number in the thread title? I thought I'd share my experience to help get this problem solved.
Guys,
I'll look into this. Are you ALL still having the same issue?
PLEASE read the sticky in this forum, in the future, as it has details on "what" to post, to better expidite the troubleshooting process.
In the interim, here's what I need from you:
There will be certain criteria that will need to be met, to ensure that we can troubleshoot/resolve the issue you are having.
The SUBJECT LINE will need to be CLEAR AND CONCISE.
Examples:
SERVER TOO BUSY
Cannot post in ______ forum
ERROR: ORA-0430
etc..
We'll need the posts in the following format.
In the message, be AS DESCRIPTIVE as you possibly can. Submission examples will follow.
TITLE:
Cannot post in Engine Mods forum
Message:
Code:DATE: TIME: BROWSER: Details of Issue: Is this this first time something like this happened? What time did the error occur? Have you noticed any trends? What kind of message did it show? When/How did the error go away? URL of where the error appeared: What do we need to do to reproduce this error? Any additional information you would like to tell us: Attach any screen shots:
Once submitted, we will look into the reported problem. How you'll know, by glance, the status of the trouble ticket, is by looking at the subject line, as it will change, with updated status: "O" for Open, "P" for Pending, "C" Closed for No issue found, or Closed due to being a current reported problem, and "R" for Resolved.

Do we know what the memory_limit variable in php.ini is set to on the host? Sounds like PHP simply doesn't have the memory it needs allocated to do the work.

what's weird, is, many new threads are created daily. I've even created a couple to 'test', with no issue.. This is a little difficult to nail down..
