    not that its that important , but I found some info. Obvioulsy, its always going to be debated, but apparently some people have contacted subaru and X doesnt really mean anything.I guess make it stand for waht ever you want.

    I always figured it was "World Rally Cross". Because of Cross Country is always called "X Country". It just made sense to me.
