Do you really want to spend that much on a car with 70k on miles? Id rather pay 3-5 more grand and find one with 40k or less miles.

Even if I get him down to 15,500-17,000 My friend is telling me that's to many miles for a 2004 hi performance car

IMHO, it is too many miles I would not pay for than 13k for it, but, by all means, if you can get it for 13k go for it! Otherwise keep saving up a bit and get an STi with <50k.

70K miles is kinda high but if the owner takes good care of it and its bone stock I think it would be a killer deal if you can get it at $15K. I would be all over it.

I bought my 04 wrx with 69,000 miles on it in may of 07 and it has almost 85,000 now and i have not had one problem with it. and its not stock either. it has the sti vf34 turbo, the pink 565cc sti injectors, intake, exhaust, flashed ecu, uppipe and more to come. i would negotiate with the guy and go with like 15 grand cash and hand it to him. its hard to say no when u have 15,000 dollars in hundreds sitting in ur hand.

Sorry but black/gunmetal wheels on a silver car do not go well. IMO
