Florida FS : 1985 toyota corolla gts ae86

Well I may as well try to generate some interest here. I've posted this in several areas, but I'll try here as well.

Up for sale is my 1985 Toyota Corolla GTS, aka AE86. This car is fully stock except for the Momo crossbar in front, the HKS Power exhaust and Razo shift knob. Almost perfect in every way. This car has been very well taken care of. She only has a little under 200,000 miles on the original engine.
I bought her from the last owner in this condition, and have done quite a bit of mechanical work that she needed. New idle air control valve, new fuel pressure regulator, valve cover seals, fluids are good.

Haven't changed the oil since I've only driven about 300 miles on her since I bought it. She runs on full synthetic oil, absolutely no oil leaks. Steering is tight and responsive, all lights work correctly, brakes are good to go.

Engine runs strong, and compression tests are good. Sometimes it doesn't start on the first try, but will start on the second start. I also installed new spark plugs.
The rear tail lights are JDM Kouki taillights.

The bad : There's a minor rip in the driver seat. The second owner installed an aftermarket radio/cd player, but it doesn't work. There's a very slight power steering fluid leak on the rack, but I've only had to fill it up once in the last few months and haven't had to fill it again since.

Finally, the air conditioning doesn't work correctly. It blows cold air when it does, but the compressor needs to be replaced, and the lever that regulates hot or cold air is finiky. That will need to be fixed as well. I took it to the toyota dealership and they said that the compressor will need to be replaced and it'll work fine after that. The power steering/air conditioning compressor belt will also need to be replaced eventually.

All in all, this car is worth the money. I'm only asking for what I paid for it myself. As I see it, I bought it, improved it, and will sell it to a worthy owner who's willing to buy this beautiful piece of machinery. I wish I could keep it for myself, but circumstances have changed and I need to sell. As in, I'll be moving to Colorado and I don't want to ruin this car in the snow.

It has absolutely no rust anywhere.

    $7000

The buyer will also receive a timing belt, a power steering belt, some extra tailight seals, and a few other goodies.

Looks like a very clean car.... but 7K for a 25 year old toyota with 200K miles is really high IMO... sorry don't mean to be an ass about it, but that's a very high price... good luck with the sale...

Unfortunatly so, but I've seen cleaner ones than mine going for 8-10k. Apparantly 7k is a good price, but because I live on the east coast, nobody is biting. I've had a few from the west coast offer, but only because they didn't pay attention to the "florida" tag in other discussion boards.

Well, either way, not in a hurry, so yeah.
