    4EAT Fully Built Transmission Update

So I know its been a while since I've updated anything or anything in this forum in general. However, I would just like to give the 4EAT owners something to think about with the following transmission mods.

IPT Built transmission (Valve body, torque converter, extra tough clutch packs where needed, welded casing)
Drive Shaft Shop 1 Piece Carbon Fiber Driveshaft
    WRC R160 Rear Diff.
    B&M Transmission Cooler

This whole setup cost me about roughly 5k or so. Through different vendors and shops.

Pros: Launching capability, fast shifts, instant response, semi quiet inside cabin/outside and last but not least very very streetable for daily driving.

Cons: Need to wait longer for Transmission to warm up, slight whine when cold and slightly more vibration when in motion.

I hope this helps anyone looking into doing a FULL 4EAT Build.

*Special Note, yes this transmission is Bullet Proof, however it does require proper maintenance just like anything else. Rated at 800WHP.

I am currently making 418WHP at the moment on a Hybrid 2.5 Forged Block with a Perrin Performance 30R Rotated kit on a conservative tune set at 19psi on E85.

Thank you for the info. What is the size or part number of the B&M? I plan on getting a Transmission Cooler very soon and I was thinking about the Long Tru-Cool LPD 19,000 GVW (4588), what do you think? It's difficult to find other 4EAT guys to talk to.
I'm not in this world to live up to your expectations and you're not in this world to live up to mine.

    BM70264 24,000 GVW B&M Supercooler

This is what I run. I ran it with my stage 2 setup and I still run it with my Perrin FMIC without any clearance issues. Its more than enough for what you need it for.

Update: It's been a year and the car is still running great and holding together nicely. I think the next step is to install a Oil Cooler for the engine oil. Beyond that the car is solid. I will post a video soon.

What drove your decision to go with IPT versus a competitor, such as Hexmods F1? I'm not criticizing your decision, just curious what factors made you choose one over the other.
I've considered the Hexmods F1 valve body upgrade for my 5eat, but how do they compare to IPT? I realize IPT offers a more broad range of upgrades, for one thing.

Any videos of a 0-60 run? I'm curious how fast the shifts are with all of that.

It was available at the time and John is actually pretty good at building the 4eat. The only video I have of the transmission in action is when I was still running the EJ205 with a 16G setup.

Yea lol! I'll make a video with my new setup soon. I'm awaiting to get a better camera like a gopro 3. Here is a pic of my car currently. On another note, anyone wanna buy a Koyo Racing radiator? I went with something thicker and bigger. Comes with a New OEM Cap.

^^Might want to look for a sturdier camera mount. I've found my suction cup GoPro mount keeps things nice and stable.
