I have a gc8 wrx with 17x7 wheels with 225/45/r17 on and slighty lowered. it's rubbing turning corners, what's a cheap diy way to fix this? I have tried the phone book try and was unsuccessful.

Are they stock wheels? If not, what's the offset? What does "slightly lowered" mean exactly? An inch? Can you tell if it's rubbing both front and rear or just one end?
