It says the WRX is to use synthetic oil (that meets their specs or better), but not just Subaru Synthetic....

And try convincing your local dealer you only need it every 7500 miles. Many will argue with you and tell you that doesn't apply to turbo models even when you show them the exact paperwork.

It doesn't really matter, though. Subaru is the only ones you need to convince for a warranty claim, not your dealer.

Do they need the resistors on the 2011? I almost bought a set a while back, but held off until I knew if they need them or not.

You'll need the module to avoid the rapid blinking. Bottom of page linked above.

I wanted to get a set but wondered whether they would look okay with my halogen headlights.

It's a pain in the ass to install the relay/module. I still haven't been able to unclip mine. The directions make it seem so easy.

I've gotten a lot of complements with the LED turn signals with the stock halogen bulbs. It doesn't look too bad. I might be getting some white-ish halogen bulbs though.

It is because the dealers and SoA know better. Oil change interval on ALL turbo subaru models is 3,750 miles. Always has been, always will be.

I've got the official updated interval sheet from SOA that says otherwise, guy. They mailed it to me when I bought the car. It specifically says the turbo model WRX 2011 is 7500 miles now. If you don't believe it, take it up with them, not me. It's their literature.

Thanks for the official SoA stance, but I'll keep changing mine every 3000 (give or take). Even if they say 7500 is okay, that cannot be good for the long term reliability of your car....which goes beyond their warranty coverage and is therefore none of their concern.
