    new guy, 4-5k rpm hesitation?

Hey guys, I'm new and I hate to post if somethings already been asked but I been trying to find similar threads. I just bought a 2010 wrx, so far I love the car other than one thing, if I go WOT the rpms seem to hesitate and lose power for a second, any idea? Is this normal to the factory tune? From similar things I've read is my problems would be solved be getting an AP and calling it a day?

    Welcome!
You might be hitting the cut off.
What gear are you going WOT with?
im a firm believer in the Cobb AP.
This will take care of the factory tune stumble.
Get the AP flash stage1 then call it a day.

Usually happens in 2nd or third, particularly if I rip it from low rpms it'll stutter somewhat between 4500 and 5200. But if I punch it starting at like 4000 it seems to go smooth.

That's funny my car seems to do that sometimes to it doesn't hesitate but once you get to like 45k it just seems like you lose some power

The Accessport will allow you to datalog the car, but I would absolutely recommend abstaining from installing a map until you understand why the car is misbehaving. Here are my two recommendations:

    1. Take the car to a professional that can troubleshoot the issue
    2. Purchase the AP, learn to datalog, and post some datalogs up here for review

It's also been between 20 and 30 degrees here in jersey since ive bought it. Maybe that's playing a part?

Any further suggestions or confirmations of suggestions as to the source of the problem would merely be speculation at this point.
