05 Wrx, DP, uppipe, how safe to be without tune

We'll I have a stock 05 Wrx, I'm planing to install DP and uppipe sometime soon, I was wondering how safe it would be to run DP and uppipe without a tune for couple of days, I have tactrix cable and all know how, just need some time to get new maps from my etuner, thanks.

    Get the maps first.

You're fine on the uppipe without a tune, but a downpipe isn't safe.

You could limp it if you run wastegate pressure though without possibility of major damage, but you're still not running a correct tune and would want it addressed ASAP.

To run? It would be okay.. to boost? That would be bad.

Ok, so it seems like it be better to load base stage2 at the same time and then have tuner dial in ? Or just install everything and stay out of boost (which is to hard here in the mountains). Another thing : is it ok to have only DP and keep stock mid and muffler ? I don't want it to be loud. Thanks

If you can flash a stage two map when you install it, why would you wait? I must be missing something..

    Stock muffler is fine.

I don't have map yet, it has to be etunned, so I'm not sure if tuner will give me base stage2 map or how that will work out, I did stage1 in my legacygt before, and back than it took tuner 6 revisions to dial it in. I guess I'll email him and firuge out how he wants it done his way.

Good plan.. he might have something he could send you right now as a base map to build off of when it comes time to make revisions.

If you're interested, I have a catless TurboXS downpipe for sale, with the midpipe that has had a 3" manual cutout installed. I'm looking to get $300 shipped for it.
