ECU Flash available for 2015 WRX

Hi Everyone, first post on this forum. Picked up a Silver 2015 WRX on Monday, and I am interested in what mods are available / will be available for the car. Does anyone know if there are reputable tunes available for the 2015 WRX at this time? COBB doesn't have anything yet. Also same goes for intake / exhaust. Thanks in advance!

    -Nathan

The only released defs for the 2015 WRX are through ECUtek at the moment. It will take some time for the OpenSource community to catch up, but Cobb is likely close to releasing...

Thanks. I've never heard of ECUtek, anyone care to comment on their quality / reputability?

It's just a tuning cable. It doesn't have the bells and whistles of the AccessPort or the flexibility of the OpenPort2.0.

    EcuTek - Advanced ECU Technology

In the end, you will need to talk to your local tuner to determine which engine management he/she prefers. At the moment, it doesn't look like the OP2.0 will support the hardware of the new Hitachi ECU. We'll see if a firmware update is in the works....

I imagine on a site like this there are a fair number of people in 2015 WRXs closely following what COBB and others are up to. Any one have an idea when an AccessPort or similar will be available for the new WRX?

Thanks for the replies. ECUtek and a custom tune doesn't sound like my cup of tea, I want a handheld programmer I can change the tune back to stock at will.

In that case, you will want to wait for Cobb's AP. Patience

Has anyone tried pulling the WRX ROM using Ecuflash 1.44.4247? There's a selection for the FRS and BRZ that have the same FA20 engine. I'm curious if any of the current ROM's match that.

As I understand, OP2.0 hardware doesn't yet support the Hitachi ECUs in the FA20. I'm not sure you could even pull the ROM. Feel free to correct my ignorance.

I saw it on their site with a dyno graph but no numbers? Just says maximum gains of 30%. Wondering what it's putting down at the wheels.

There have been plenty of people baseline 2015s.. can't remember off the top of my head, but I've seen probably a dozen dyno charts.

Doesn't matter the stock numbers, you're looking at a 13% improvement from just tuning. Impressive IMO
