    Torqued Performance Stage 1 questions.

I will be going TP stage 1 on my 13 wrx hatch as soon as my new tactrix cable comes in the mail. I've done hours of reading on this forum and nasioc and 3gwrx but I have one lingering question. Erics OTS maps are purposefully rich for safety to avoid early detonation I assume but I was wondering what sort of possible negative effects are possible from running rich? Eric has already said he will tweak the map once I log some but I am reaching out to some of you much more knowledgeable dudes. Thanks.

Edit: like aside from a little less mpg and a little dirtier exhaust?

Just log the tune after a couple hundred miles and send them to him for a revision. He's got crazy fast turnaround time. I've never waited more than 24 hours for a response...ever.

"Purposely rich" is more of a safety factor than anything, it really just means that you could run less fueling and possibly eek some more power out of the car. Not that it is running so rich that the car is going to stumble/flood/etc...
