WRX goes very lean in OL. help

    Hello

I need some help in order to understand where is the problem.

The car has lean spots during mild acceleration.

AFR is jumping to over 15

Time in the log 19.10 to 19.30 and 22.56 to 23.04 is a good example. Normal driving

    Please see the log file

The car is EU 2001 WRX with modded injectors, silicone intake, VF43 and S202 like tune on H98 europe fuel.

Can't access the log file, but what WBO2 are you using to read the AFRs?

The WB is the subaru one on the UP pipe. I can not upload the log, but it is available from Mega (the link in first post)

You can't use that to monitor OL AFRs.

Subarus don't come with a wide band from the factory.. only narrow band. To dial in AFR you need to install an aftermarket WBO2 in the downpipe, 24"-36" from the turbo, and upstream from any catalytic converters.

I don't want to enter in discussion regarding this, Under hard acceleration i is showing close to the target I have in the fueling map. There is something wrong since during hard acceleration the car like take off when the AFR drops down to 11.5 for example.

Under light acceleration the "switching" doe not happen and the AFR is 15-16 at 0 to 4psi boost where the log shows OL . please see the log at app.19.10 where start acceleration and going over the gears

    can you open the file?

No, I can't open the file. And yes you SHOULD enter the discussion about this. You're attempting to use improper equipment to make a diagnostic call.

I am far more concerned with the fact that the AFR is showing close to the target during hard acceleration. Because the pressure in the header is much higher than ambient, the stock O2 sensor should read very rich. This is how a zirconia WBO2 sensor works. I'm questioning how the car was tuned and if you are running lean all the time.

FWIW, your O2 sensor is in the header, not the Uppipe

zax, I am aware that the A/F sensor before the turbo when under pressure read rich, and I am sure my car is a bit lean.
The problem I have is understanding what happens when the manifold pressure is around 0, then the AFR is hiting 15-16 - very bad. I asume the sensor is reading OK since no pressure.

Below is a part of the log

Stop calling the stock front O2 sensor a narrowband... - NASIOC sure it is not the widest but is someting

for me first file in Mega is working. I use Epifan ecuedit viewer to open it

Has it always been like that? Looks like the MAF needs to be rescaled (or you have a leak). You are maxing out corrections in the low range.

and 5.63 is a lot of timing to pull, the car is not happy there, that's for sure

is it so if the car has leack, i.e, sucking air, the 0-5.60 will be positive? this may be due to injector latency, a bit too much

around this 5.63 timing I already removed 3 degree from the timing

Here is my guess: you need to retune the injector latency (may not have been tuned correctly). If the TIE was not tuned correctly or the IPW compensations have not been updated for the larger injectors, that explains the brief lean condition at low throttle.

Zax, sorry but I am not as good with the abreviations, what is TIE and IPW?

    here is my last:
    injector latency table
    [Table2D]
    6.5 9.0 11.5 14.0 16.5
    2.99 1.69 1.18 0.88 0.58

    and flow scaling
    [Table2D]
    Injector Flow Constant
    820.08

before was 800 but the same problem

    and the Tip in
    [Table2D]
    0.4 2.8 5.2 7.5 9.9 12.3 14.6 17.0 19.4 21.7 24.1 26.5 28.8 31.2 33.6 35.9 38.3 40.7
    0.26 0.32 0.38 0.48 0.58 0.70 0.83 0.96 1.09 1.22 1.34 1.47 1.60 1.76 1.92 2.08 2.24 2.40

the car is not easy to start compared to stock injectors, so far didnt find any good settings fro latency

    TIE = tip in enrichment
    IPW = injector pulse width
