    2014 Wrx Stage 1

Hey everyone, since there isn't too much info out there on how tuning is going on the newer rex's, I figured I would go ahead and mention that yesterday I went ahead and installed my cobb sf intake and box after about 2,000 miles, and flashed to cobb's stage 1 93+sf and the difference is definitely worth it. I'm in the Atlanta area, and the OTS map is hitting perfect target boost right off the get go at 70 degrees ambient, which saved me a headache . I'm still waiting on a pro tune since it is ideal for peak performance, but this OTS map will do the trick until then. The car is much tighter in pulling, far less sluggish in spool time. Granted the intake is more noise then performance, with a stock exhaust it sounds bad to the bone. Will post before and after dyno numbers on OTS cobb map vs protune in the next coming weeks!

I had difficulty finding info on 2014 tuning in particular, even if they are still in the same gen. Too many people worried about their warranty I suppose. I'm debating on how soon to go stage 2 since there's definitely no convenient way to replace those mods everytime I head to the dealer.

There is definitely plenty of info about that, just on this site alone.

On another note, Welcome to the forum!

See if you can get a ots baseline before your protune.

Ahh gotcha. Not sure bout the '14s, but when I was in touch with Eric at Torqued Performance, I recall he said that there were little to no differences in stock mapping between various years of the third gens with the 2.5. I don't imagine that Subaru would've suddenly changed that with '14. But I get what you were saying now.

Go stage 2 before your pro tune! I just went stage 2 on my 2011 and its truly amazing, puts a smile every time I get into boost.
Although my warranty is up, so I have no worries about that
