Question regarding the Cobb AP and the stock ECU mile per gallon estimator

Hey guys, now that I just added my ID 1000's , my stock ECU is no longer able to calculate my mile per gallon due to the different IDC's. I was able to find a open source ECU fix, however I was not able to find a Cobb AP solution. Is there anyway I am able to adjust the stock ECU utilizing the Cobb AP to fix this problem?

I have been logging my fuel economy at various times, but it is a pain to see 40 mile per gallon on my dash display. It only hurts to think of how nice it would be to have a 40 mile per gallon 300 wheel horsepower car haha.

Just flip it so it shows the time rather than the MPG!

Lol, I don't have to run the mile per gallon estimator if I just use the normal odometer, however it still makes me angry that doesn't work if you know what I mean.

Could you please elaborate on the OpenSource ECU fix?
You can't have everything - where would you put it?

Once I get home I will attach the link to the thread that had to file for the open source ECU tune.

I also have ID 1000's on 2011 wrx with ap. I know exactly what you mean. My tuner told me it would never work again, and he is very well versed in subarus. Would love a fix though.

^that was my understanding. My car shows 30-37 MpG's on a regular basis. Roughly 2/3rd of the number shown is real...

Yeah I know, especially when using RomRaider I know there is an available fix.

It's just a mathematical calculation. But it would have to take the injector pulse width into account, which is dependent on the specific tune I believe. Maybe a good question for Cobb support?

Here's a link to the RomRaider thread with the solution.

Maybe we can put our heads together here and figure this out for the AP?

Great! This is going to be a project! But it will take time as I'm pretty loaded up with things to do...

Are you going to try to make it work with the AP?

So...you're mad that you modified your car and the ECU isn't designed for your specific modifications? *sigh*

Nope, I'm not mad at the stock ECU at all. It's that feeling that you get when you know there is a solution to a problem you are having, but you can't quite tweak it to work right. I like the AP, and would have no problems living with the fuel efficiency being screwy on the stock system, but I would like to see if we can engineer a fix on the AP side like they have on the opensource side.
