Emailing a custom map from the AP

As the title says, I need a tutorial or diy on how to email a map I have on my Cobb AP, back to my tuner so he can tweak some things. It sucks I live right down the street from the shop but he says he has to charge for garage time if I bring the car directly to him. How can I email the ecu map and what hardware or software is needed because I bought the car with the AP and OBD-II cable. nothing else came with it.

Who's the tuner? They should know how to do these things...

I'd think he has to have the Cobb tuning software to do it. Otherwise, Cobb maps aren't editable.

My tuner is a former Pro Tuner directly from Cobb. He tuned the car personally and told me he would like an email with the map file attached to it so he can look at it. But, all I have is the AP and car cable.

Get a USB cable and plug the AP into your computer, download and install the software for the AP, save the map to your computer, then attach it to an email.

Ohhh, nice. I was wondering if you were the Colonia up north. Akuma has a good rep. I figured he would have told you how to get the map in an email though

John is a good tuner. There's a reason Cobb hired him...

Have nothing but good things to say about John, guess he assumed you knew how to do it. You'll need the access port manager program, you can download it from cob's site.

The USB cable is a standard A to mini B:

    COBB Tuning AccessPORT V2.0b USB Cable Standard-A to Mini-B 3ft APV2B-USBCABLE-A at RallySportDirect.com

Make sure to not get the more common micro USB cable. They're similar, but not compatible.
