Yeah if you're doing TP maps, you have no need for an AP. How else did you load your TP Stage 1 on to the car?

Cobb Accessport has a Stage 2 MAP Tune for a Stock Engine with just Cobb Downpipe, (no Cat-Back exhaust or SF Intake) and another for one with SF Intake (Cobb or AEM option too).

You'll be fine and its a nice change and feel from stock. Congrats on the car btw!

No, they don't. I already posted a quote directly from Cobb's website that states turboback exhaust is required for all versions of their GR stage two maps.

Sorry but, you're misreading statement...basically, means a downpipe, it's from turbo back... the cat back is optional. When flashing this MAP on the car, it clears up by saying this... think about it. If you buy a downpipe alone, you can't run it unless you flash to stage 2 with stock intake and exhaust... When I bought my AP and downpipe at Cobb SoCal, they told me I could with stock exhaust. They're waiting on me to put my custom Burns Stainless Cat-Back cause I'm doing Pro-Tune at that point.

So, yes - you can run just downpipe with their installed MAP... I just changed to Stage 2 + SF cause I installed their SF+box (and still running stock cat back)

Call them if you want to confirm.

I'm not saying you can't run the map, I'm saying the map wasn't made for just a downpipe. Seems that it might not quite hit target boost, which shouldn't be too much of an issue, but you would definitely want to log to make sure. They explicitly state in the map notes that the map was designed for use with a catted Cobb turboback exhaust. From turbo back includes the cat back.. it literally means from the turbo, all the way back (which would be the tip). I don't know of anyone in the Subaru world that refers to the downpipe alone as a turboback exhaust, it always includes the catback.

Of course, I agree with difference in terms. But in reference to the downpipe mod, the cat back is not required even though it says turbo back. It says so on Accessport when changing MAP and per Cobb themselves.
