    cobb ap stg 1 datalogs need help!

    Hey all,

    I flashed my 13 hatch last night to stage 1 map. Car feels really good, and it did help smooth out the powerband. I did 4 data logs and I am concerned about the last one I did. The first 3 were great numbers and then on the 4th log I have some fine knock learning that comes in. Any advice would be helpful as to if this is acceptable or not. Thanks for your help

    Have you tried to log again after the 4th? I've read around saying if you can't replicate those numbers again, you shouldn't worry about it.

    I have not tried a log since, but I planned on doing a few more. I found it weird that I had 3 perfectly fine logs and then on the 4th I had knock...

    I just started reading ap numbers so I'm still learning. But try logging again is what I'd do.

    Are you on Cobb's stage 1 map? Do you have an aftermarket intake?

    No intake, only other mod is a gfb hybrid bov, set to 70 recirculating 30 bov

    Hmm might have something to do with that.. might be loose or not functioning properly which would cause a leak for that knock?

    Do some more logs and see if it keeps happening. Did you do all 4 of those logs at the same time?

    Also, what map did you flash? None of the OTS ones are meant to work with an aftermarket BOV

    I did the first 2 logs right after I flashed it, and then the next day I did the last two, so I have not even put 50 miles on since I flashed it. I'm going to try and set the bov to 100% recirculating but that should matter since they don't need to be tuned

    ^ I saw a similar thread on that topic before. I a going to be running the bov to 100% recirculating so it will function the same as a stock valve.

    It isn't there on the other logs. There is talk of some false triggers of FLKC on the newer ECUs. Are you able to replicate the scenerio in Log 4?

    That's a correct assumption. You want to see if the knock continues to happen under the same circumstances. If it isn't repeatable, you don't need to worry about it.
