    unhappy with tune.. data log?

so as the days progress i'm becoming more and more annoyed with my tune. my car does not perform well in lower gears/RPMS. it seems to hesitate a little which is something it never did with my OTS stage 2 map

would data logging diagnose any potential issues with my tune? i'm not really familiar with data logging and i've never done it before. what parameters would i set with my accessport to do the log? i know you can select different things to monitor.

    See 3:40 "top 5 monitors".

You should not need to do a 4th gear pull (that was an STi) - just do 2nd gear for now as that will top out at 60mph.

I'll look for the basic list in Cobb lingo (I can't remember what they call some stuff). It is best not to log extra stuff as it will slow down the polling so you get less lines of data and can't see what happens in between.

It could easily be mechanical too - have you cleaned your MAF, new air filter, basic stuff?

Here is the basic list - just need to translate it to Cobb lingo....

    feedback knock correction
    fine knock correction
    IAM
    engine speed
    engine load
    manifold relative pressure direct
    injector duty cycle
    wastegate duty cycle
    target boost
    IAT
    mass air flow
Lc-1 (or other wideband) or AFR sensor #1 (factory front O2)
    A/F Learning #1 (%)

thanks! pretty confident its the tune. i have done all the basics and the car is completely up to date on all maintenance.

so just do a few pulls in 2nd gear from 2500 RPM to redline?

i will do some pulls and post them up so you guys can take a look!

You say the "hesitation" is in lower gears, lower RPMs. Is it at part-throttle or WOT that you feel the hesitation?

If the hesitation isn't at WOT, a WOT log won't help us.

That said, I'm going to ask you alter the parameters you logged, regardless, but I need to know the scenerio first...

The hesitation usually happens in lower gears if I get on it a little but not WOT

You need to capture the hesitation in datalogs. This is part-throttle issue, so that's the scenerio you should be logging, not WOT.

    1) Engine Speed
    2) Calculated Load
    3) Throttle Angle
    4) AFR Sensor 1 (AFR) - something along those lines (if you want to call me when you're looking at the parameter list, I can tell you which one)
    5) DAM
    6) Feedback Knock
    7) Fine Learned Knock
    8) Ignition Timing
    9) Boost (PSI)

Ok thanks matty I'll have another look at the list and change it to those parameters

Now can I just log a whole drive (ie: my 10 minute drive to work) or does it have to be an isolated time frame

Isolating logs would make it easier to identify / look at than a 10 minute drive. Otherwise, you'll have to find where in the log the hesitation occurred and tell us.
