I'm going to scroll through this thread a bit while at work today:

I also talked to Matty last night and we're just going to start fresh on a custom tune. I feel that at this point, that is the better option.
Not a bad course of action.

Also, you can change the value of the "real" FBKC to a different value, which helps to point it out when you see it as well.

You'll see that the thread was not very definitive, sadly. Still waiting for any more information to fall out of it.

When I turn it off, I don't. It can't be coincidence because I have noticed over and over again (especially at cruising speed) that if the defrost is on (or a/c), I get knock (-1.2 - 2.4 ish). The extra load the A/C or defrost is putting on the engine might be causing this...Just a thought! These other guys know a lot more about these things than I do!

    Funny story regarding this.....

Yesterday, before I went to Zach's house I stopped at AutoZone to get some MAF cleaner and a filter kit. While on the ride, I set my AP to be reading FBKC, and I had the windows down....no knock. As soon as I was done at AutoZone, I get in my car and thing "gee it's a little hot, let me turn the AC on." Set the AP to FBKC and go about my way. I pull out of the parking lot and pull up to a light, not more that 500yds of travel, and I look down at the AP and at some point in that little blip of driving, it knocked.....So I go "okay, maybe the ac/defroster has something to do with this." So after that light I turn my a/c off and put the windows down. Didn't knock at all the rest of the way to Zach's house.

Now overall, this is most likely just coincidence considering that my total trip from home to AZ to Zach's was about 2mi and clearly the logs that I posted last night show knock in normal driving (windows were down). I just thought that it was kinda funny that you posted that and I was thinking about it last night.

I'm assuming that is something Matt will do?

Thanks, I'll still browse through it. I'm sure that I'll learn something.

FWIW the AFR on my OTS maps were all over the place when I got a base pull before my dyno tune. When we dyno tuned my car and straightened out the AFR curve it was much much better.

I should log my car as well. I have been running this map for 75k miles-ish. Be interesting to see whats going on.

How long will the AP V2 log for? Will it log continuously for a 25 mile drive?

I honestly don't know. I've only done small logs with the AP, more recently I've been logging via tactrix and laptop.

That wouldn't really be very useful. It would contain a lot of useless information that makes it difficult to parse through to get to anything useful. A bunch of shorter, more concise logs is far more helpful.

    Note to self:

    Matt prefers a short log.

    He could. I dunno.

Use excel instead of google docs. Put on the "Freeze top row" and then use "Filter" when dealing with larger logs. It makes identifying knock events a piece of cake.

I'm not sure whether they have a nice filter option or not. It allows you to basically add sorted "drop downs" for each column which you can check on/off. Very nice feature.
