open source ecu and romraider windows 8?

as the title says can you do open source tuning with win 8 operating system? i tried loading the software and got nothing. i tune turbo ls1's with hptuners and am a little amazed that you can spend around 200 bucks and not have to license ecm's. almost seems too good to be true.

I've used ECUFlash/Romraider on WinXP, Vista, and Win7. My only copies of Win8 are VM instances, so I haven't tried doing any kind of ECU work on them. I would assume it would work, but you may have to follow some Win7 troubleshooting steps (some people have had issues with newer O/Ses) to get it operational...

Correct. EcuFlash is used for saving your stock map and flashing new ones.

Romraider is used for logging data.
