how long could I get by without tuning.

So how long do you think I could go without tuning my 2013 wrx if I installed a cobb sf intake. Reason is..my brother bought me the intake but I wont have the money for AP for some time. I know the majority will say wait until I get AP but im just curious.

Unless you want to be running lean, don't install it until you get the AP. Your fuel trims will not cut it in the higher loads.

For sure man. Im in no rush to install it even though it is tempting.. he was trying to tell me it would be ok for a couple months until I get the AP

Cobb claims the intake doesn't skew the MAF readings but I would rather be safe then sorry. Unless you know how to verify the MAF readings (which takes an SSM capatible scan tool and a wideband AFR gauge) then I would wait.

Cobb states on their website a tune is required for their intake. so the answer to your question is 0 minutes

boost is like alcohol, its fun and great in moderation, to much and something's gonna go boom.

The OP got a cobb sf intake.. How does that apply to your recommendation for an ots tune for a k&n intake?
