02 wrx won't start after reflash

Ok, checked the relay and its still good. Car is running pink injectors. When the car was first started the shop noticed that the fuel pump was running at 80 psi. so we haven't started it since. Hoping that the new map would tone it down.

Noticed that the battery is pretty weak. Going to get a new one and see if that helps.

Shouldn't flash with a weak battery. .if your car battery dies during the flash then the ECU will brick.

The map shouldn't have anything to do with fuel pressure. . That is a function of the fuel pressure regulator.

Also, if you have 565cc Pink injectors, then the stage one map you were trying to flash is not made for your car. Stage one maps have stock injector scaling.

That doesn't seem correct. How did the shop determine the fuel pressure?

They got the fuel pressure off of the diagnostic machine they have.

Where is the pressure regulator located cause neither the shop or I can find it?

It's located off the passenger side fuel rail. Although I seriously question the shop's analysis. More so if they cannot locate the FPR. Per my understanding, the ECU cannot read the Fuel Pressure directly, only the Fuel pump duty cycle. I'm not sure how they would have determined the pressure at the location of something they cannot find.

I had this problem when I first flashed my car. Long and embarrassing story short.... I had blown a fuse.

Your car is not stage two, so that map wouldn't work either. You already said the car has different injectors. All off the shelf maps are made to only work with stock injectors.

I'd have to agree with Zach, this so called shop sounds shady and incompetent if they can't even locate the fuel pressure regulator. I'm not sure what this "diagnostic" is that they did. . The only way to read fuel pressure is to install a fuel pressure gauge. AND, if your static pressure really was 80psi you would have to get that fixed before you could even consider tuning, let alone driving the car. If a shop cannot even locate a FPR they have no business working on cars.

Why exactly are you running after market injectors in the first place?

I got the car with them installed already. The car came with an exhaust, intake, aftermarket boost controller, turboxs UTEC (Which was removed), pink injectors and a VF30 turbo. I believe the previous owner was running a FMIC also but later removed it before selling.

Guess I have to hunt down stock injectors now.

I'm confused. Do you still have the vf30, boost controller, exhaust, etc? Or is all of that uninstalled?

Just use ATR to rescale your injectors.

It's no wonder the car wouldn't start... if the car had 565cc/min injectors and the map scaled to 420cc (stock), the pulse width is far too short. Actually, it's rather a GOOD thing your car didn't start.

Yes I still have them. Only thing uninstalled was the UTEC.
