I'm looking to start modding my 2011 WRX, and I'm planning on adding a new TMIC, EBCS, fuel pump, CAI, in addition to the TBE. I'll be going the etune route since I don't have a tuner closer than 4 hours away. My question is, are gauges necessary, or is that more for people self tuning? If so, which ones are recommended (boost, wide band, oil pressure...)? The car is my daily driver and won't be tracked any time soon. Any advise is appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Boost is important on any modified car. WBO2 is needed for the email tune to dial in OL fueling. Beyond that, it's up to you. I'd do EGT then oil temp before oil pressure, personally.

Thanks a lot! I was thinking of starting with a boost gauge and WBO2...maybe more down the road.

You are etuning. Definitely get a Wideband O2 (I like AEM). They are cheap and easy to wire.

You will need a wideband o2 sensor, I would recommend the aem uego, you don't have to recalibrate it like the innovate. Don't get the 2 in 1 because i'm not sure if you can log it in RR logger.

Alright, I think I'm going with the AEM analog Wideband and matching AEM analog boost gauge, housed in the SMY 2008+ cluster bezel pod. Really like the stock look of it all.

Keep in mind that the AEM UEGO's controller is integrated into the gauge, so you will need to wire a serial port FROM the gauge.
