Yep. Innovative recommends putting them further from the turbo. Even so I'm going to try using the bung Cobb provided.

The kit comes with a bung and plug to weld into the exhaust. If need be I will try to find someone who can weld stainless well.

yeah that's what I had been reading... I suppose that Cobb put the bunghole (

) that close to make it easier for tuners to tune without climbing under the car

Sweet! Just make sure you follow Innovate's grounding instructions. The LC-1 is very sensitive to grounding. I also recommend installing the calibration push switch and L.E.D.

I need to read up on this. What's your opinion on the bung location? Will I do well enough with the Cobb bung?

Should be fine. I run mine in my Helix catted DP in the bung right by the bell mouth. I had 1 sensor die on me after about a year and a half but I also didn't use the recommended heat sink.

Yeah ... I also contemplated the $80 heat sink. Do you think installing it so close to the turbo it skews the reading significantly?

The install was this past Saturday. For those of you who don't know ... dashboard wiring sucks. JR and I were not entirely skilled at it.

Proper sensor calibration (long story) was yesterday along with a WOT logging session where I forgot to click the log to file button in Romraider.

I'll try again shortly.
