what works for a 2012 wrx with a torqued performance tune. the tactrix web site says to use ecuflash but it doesnt have a preset ecu processor to select that is for the 2012 only up to 2009 i think. it asks if i want to go in some mode and then says warning for developers only. if i could get any help that would be awesome i am trying to tune my car tonight and so far having no luck.

What does TP say to do? Do you have the latest definitions? They have up to 2011 - I would guess 2012 will be out soon (already is for STi). Also make sure you have the latest software version.

Looking at selling my accessport and jumping into the world of Opensource Tuning! Question though, if I don't plan on doing any editing of the maps myself, I.e using the TP maps (for now), should I have a wideband afr?? Can I use the tactrix cable and one of those programs to log the same parameters as I can now with the accessport?

    Thanks!

    Great writeup btw Donkey!

If you want to monitor your open-loop AFRs, yes.

I have a question about tunes that you get off of the Internet as far as a tp tune or something that I do my self. By the way I have a tp stage one tune as of now. But my question is I live in AZ and it gets to around 115 here in the Sumer and I just went to a local shop and they say that if you don't get it dyno tuned here during the summer that there is a possibility you can hurt your engine because of the heat and that he has heard of people doing open source tunes and then there motor blows because they are tuned for colder weather. I hope you guys understand the question haha. Sometimes I ramble.

Donkey and Rogan have been busy with off site obligations lately - anyone know what happened to wrxmodders? If we can find the links I can fix them but nothing comes up in a brief search.
