good. and i am glad you are a credible source. driving up and down mountains, and since we all know your driving style it presents very good results.

in either case we have all come to realize that cobb's product goes untested. in either case, if you want increase fuel economy change the following: the weight of your foot, your tune(take it to the tuner and stop wasting dollars and cents), or just rip the turbo off all together and retune anyway, or start losing significant amounts of body fat(referring to your car or maybe even you)

(actually stock hp is 244whp according to the dyno. i did not take it to the track when it was bone stock, i just bumped up the boost and did a tune)

to all-motor turbo:

How does cobb's product go untested? I could do a simple search of Nasioc and clubWRX and yeild many threads with people presenting data on the performance of cobb's economy map.

also if you want anyone to take you seriously i would consider revising your sig line:

"05 Subaru STI STOCK 279whp 13.52@113 "

No one is gonna believe that. I'll let you figure out why...

What the hell do you think the ECU does? You realy have no idea how modern ECU's work do you?

You sir,are a frigg'n idiot. You obviously have no idea about tuning a factory ECU or MAF based fueling.Like the other have said, you absolutely CAN JUST REDUCE THE BOOST.The ECU will just compare the calculated load against it's current rpm to give the right fuel(in Openloop) and timing.Closedloop fueling could care less as it uses O2 sensor feedback. Before shooting your mouth of you might want to actually research alitte.Thats funny,my stock ECU does A/F and boost control as well as your stand alone. You obviosly just have no clue what so ever.........

You stupid monkey..who cares what your signature says. All that matters is all the incorrect info you keep posting.Couple books for ya to read:

Amazon.ca: How to Tune and Modify Engine Management Systems: Jeff Hartman: Books

Engine Management: Advanced Tuning: Greg Banish: Amazon.ca: Books

It's very obvious you don't know a whole lot about modern ECU tuning...........

Well first off...you must have just added the stuff in parenthesis.

second,....I still stand by my statement. There's no way your trapping 113mph with JUST a retune. Sorry that's utter BS. The WORLD RECORD stock turbo sti* traps 113mph with thousands in mods.

" 1. DownSTi...............06 STI....11.78@113.18.....Sacremento Raceway.................100 octane "

*as of the date of the posting of that list anyway

And why yes, you've obviously proven in your last couple of posts that you "know" more about cars than me. So congrats.

It's threads like these that make searching for stuff friggin' worthless. A completely good and valid thread ruined by useless garbage. Shame on all of us!
