You realize that you have waited almost 24hrs for a reply when if you would have tried using the search function you probably would have found your answer within 30 mins right?Follow Cobb's map notes. This is why some intakes are bad.....................CobbTuning.com - Aftermarket Intakes

I did use the search and the only thread that was close didn't give a straight answer, mainly just opinions and even the link you gave is just stuff that could happen but is unlikely...i just want to know if I'm losing power lol or if it doesn't let stg 1 and 2 run proper

hey Karl, probably not "losing" power... like the links above most likely say, the problem with intakes on the WRX is the MAF sensor, with aftermarket intakes the readings from it often come out different and thus its "recommended" to just use stock intake. If you have a short ram intake on it, just use AP to look at your a/f ratios and make sure its still running in normal ranges. Personally I just bought a KN drop in and used the stock.

and the idea of a Cold air intake on a turbo kinda doesnt matter. no matter how cool that air is at the start, its still gonna get super heated by the turbo and cooled off in the intercooler any ways.

as far as I know - these are the four "safe" SRI's

SPT
APS
K&N
Perrin

Anything else seems to change the placement of the MAF sensor too much and skews the readings.

There is a reason Cobb states not to use any intake than the ones listed and it is not because that stuff is "unlikely" to happen. If you really want to know if the intake is going to 100% create problems or not,you gonna need to buy a wideband and download some datalogging software.Or just spend the money on a custom tune for the intake.
