I'm in. For those w/o Adobe Acrobat:
-JimRegistration for the rally will be in Lot J of the Palisades Center Mall parking lot. That’s across the mall road from Home Depot. Registration will open at 11:30. Entry fees are $20 ($15 for WSCC members). Car numbers will be issued on a first come first serve basis. A mandatory drivers meeting will be held approximately 12:40 and a Q&A for newcomers to ask questions at 12:15. The rally will start with the first car leaving at 1pm and then each car leaves in numerical order in 1-minute intervals (ex: car number 13 will leave at 1:13). The Palisades Center Mall is in Nyack, NY right off exit #13 on the NY Thruway a few miles from the Tappan Zee Bridge.

Most T/S/D rallies provide you with the average speed and distance (mileage). It is your job to figure out what time you must arrive at the hidden checkpoints. This rally provided neither. It was a gimmick scavenger hunt rally that involved testing your ability to find small roadside signs and count landmarks, as well as testing your patience. Anyone used to formal T/S/D rallies that don't make you feel as if the rallymaster is leading down the wrong road everytime, should stay away from the Westchester County Car Club road rallies. We would go so far as to say that the Tri-state rally series from PA hosts better rallies. If however, you enjoy gimmick/hunt rallies, then enjoy the drive.
If anything we found some amazing roads to drive at a spirited pace. Maybe that was the purpose of the rally to begin with. If so, I'd say it should have only been $5.![]()
We weren't the only team expressing such views of the rally either.

I've been on a lot of road rallies and this was
THE WORST BY FAR.
This is the only rally where we got so frustrated that we bailed out and grabbed a beer.

At a certain point, a rally goes from aggrevating to downright a waste of your time and fuel. Is it at this point you plot a route to the bar where the rally is supposed to end, park your ride, and down some beers. We asked the waitress when the rallymaster reserved the restaurant she said "4:30 is when its supposed to finish up." It was 5:30 when we left and only one car showed, they also gave up.
Here is Jim and I celebrating being first to the bar![]()
