No idea. Doesn't matter to me. We'll have fun no matter how many cars show.

    [cartman]GODDAMIT!!![/cartman]

How could you ask for the wrong w/e off. There is only one SATURDAY AFTER THANKSGIVING during the month of November. SHEEEESSH.

Oh well, it's clear and damned cold out today. I'll be arriving in about an hour.

Remember to proceed thru the stop sign and look for the group at the far end of the lot.

If you are going to be arriving after 10:15 call 267-994-4980 and let me know!

Sorry Jim....I know you were looking forward to seeing the wagon in the train. My bad. I had to schedule like 6 weeks ago...I got the date wrong (that's how I remembered it - not weekend after thanksgiving)... DUH!!!

Hope you guys had fun and stayed incident free.

This year's meet went off without a hitch. We got a late start out of Newtown since the last pack of cars arrived at Cornwells around 11am. Jay (smartly) went to trade his GSXR600 in for his 20th Anniversary GTI. We had half-a-dozen WRXs, two SRT-4s, a MazdaSpeed Protégé, Tan’s golf, Jay’s GTI, a yellow M3, and a badass silver M-coupe.

We had a bit of trouble tracking down a bathroom/eatery on the way to Nockamixon, grabbed some lunch near the intersection of 412 and 611, stopped in for some quick pics by the water at the park and it was off for more driving. After a brief planning/bathroom break in Hellertown, we took 32 (River Rd.) back to Newtown by way of Yardley.

Thanks to everyone who came out and made the event great!! Special thanks goes out to Jay for navigating to Nockamixon and taking us on some truly awe-inspiring (and freshly paved) roads. The handling, braking, and acceleration of Jay’s ‘chipped’ GTI were impressive. It wasn't until I got into Jared's (nearly stock) WRX that I realized how much faster the WRX is. (Sorry, but it's true.) A couple people were complaining of brake fade after the roads Jay took us down.

Look for our next meet and drive to start near Newtown, PA some time in March when the weather warms up a bit. We'll probably meet around 10:30am and start the drive around 11:30am.

    Expect pics by Sunday night!!!

THANK YOU JAY!!! Those roads were pretty f'n awesome. But now I really need new tires after how much I was sliding around on the RE92's (Jim and Chris were probably like when I hit that hard right, me and Margaret were more like ) We had a blast, can't wait for the next one.

Here's one pic of us by the lake...

If stupid mammals stop hitting your car, you'll have a lot more money to spend on mods. I think you should just leave the Golf as your trip car and get a toy car for the backroads.

[British announcer voice]Once again, Chris has made an excellent tire choice going out on intermediate tires, in this case Falken Azenis, enabling him to make up amazing time.[/British announcer voice]

Just watch any WRC event, tires count for more of time gained and loss, than any specific technology on any of the rally cars. With just the rear sway bar and Azenis, my car was able to stick like glue to the pavement. If I had that suspension I have at home installed, then I'd be able to go much faster. I gotta find an R-compound that'll last me the summer
