2nd Annual Subaru Shoot-out

Here's what I snagged off nasioc.com

"Guys, just letting you know this because I know many people start putting in for time off and vacations at work now.

It will be held Saturday, Sept. 13th at Beaver Springs Dragway located in Central PA(same as last year).

Last year was our first shot at this event and it was a MAJOR success in my opinion. This year we have a few things in the works, not so much with the event itself, but with vendors and such, inlcuding a potentially major sponsor to help with advertising , a lot more prize money, things like that, so it should be good.

More info to follow in the coming months, so check back once in a while in the events section here.

i'm coming from cleveland with a couple friends, i think we're staying for the sport compact event on sunday too. Hope it's worth the drive. Stock turbo class, hopefully i can better my best of 13.809.

I'd like to go, but the drive is the only factor...

What's the rest of the timeslip look like?

keep in mind that this was done with just a mbc and a homemade intercooler sprayer.

60' 1.884
1/8 8.783 @ 78.60
1/4 13.809 @ 96.89

i think that is darn good considering my mods.

4k and let the clutch out real fast, very close to a drop but not quite, if you smell clutch, let it out quicker next time.

also, avoid the water if you can. i hope i can repeat that run.

...if I smell clutch, it was a normal run for me...if I dont, I must have bogged the launch. Hopefully I'll have a new clutch in by the shootout.

So far me and a few Nasioc members will be meeting on RT80 @ the MT Arlington exit (either exit 28 or 30) for the NNJ guys if you want to caravan. We are leaving early Sat morning. Expect about a 3 hour drive or so. Be fueled up.

Good job on the 13.6.

You'll do pretty well in the stock turbo class.
