There is a SC S2000 that puts down 290s on Curry's Mustang Dyno. I think, if not many from WRX and DSM forums shows up, that $125 will go to that S2000 owner. And he is very close friend of mine!!!

Anyone confident enough to break that 290s barrier? I hope to see you there!!!

I am sure there has to be at least a few strong WRXs in the area that are willing to show off what WRXs can do?
    If not, start modding!!!

for a $50 prize and to see the infamouse Curry's, it would have been worth the comute, but since i know that i wont put down more than the above stated 290 i know not to waste my time...

For a event like this, it's all about meeting other enthusiasts and chance to check out other modded/performance cars. I know I won't win the first prize if a modded Supra rolls in.
But they, I can never get tired of their "woo shee" sound after putting down 500+ rwhp.

actually i'm planning on going, as i have a decent amount of work im planning on having done and curry's is one of the shops that i'm considering... although in light of recent events i have become very scepticle of there quality of work... i will plan on stopping by to see how the shoot out goes and use that to help evaluate there shop.

Are you evaluating shops in U.S.A so you can bring your car here whenever something goes wrong? Talk about expensive mods and repairs. Maybe you can start by looking at shops in Iceland and save a lot of money?
