    Stage 1 ...

    I <3 my 8 HP Briggs & Stratton powered Craftsman with a 27" x 20" catcher. Just measured it - I thought it was 16" tall.

Always fed it gas with Sta-Bil and have used Mobil 1 5W-30 from day one.

Im thinking about seeing what I can do to the air cleaner and then rejetting it. Though probably best bang for the buck would be jumping to a 8hp ... I think the one I'm using is a 5hp. It was a hand-me-down so I'm not complaining.

My summer project is hopefully going to be getting this old John Deere lawn tractor running again and fitting it with a plow.

Good news on the snow Monday. It does not look to be a coastal storm, so amounts should be a lot less than we have seen. "Clipper" systems rarely drop more than 2" or 3" around here. Cold air will make for a lighter snow that accumulates more than a wetter heavy snow.

National Weather Service Text Product Display

THIS IS A CLIPPER TYPE SYSTEM THAT SHOULD BE MORE
MOISTURE STARVED THAN OUR LATEST WINTER STORM, BUT BECAUSE OF THE
COLD AIR IN PLACE THIS SHOULD RESULT IN A LESS DENSE, HIGHER RATIO
TYPE SNOW EVENT IF IT COMES TO FRUITION.

At least it's only 4-8. That still does suck though.

Hahaha useful 7th post Ricky...I'm pretty sure at least 5 of your 7 total have something to do with pushing me to get another Subaru

I'm working on it...like I said, I'm officially going to expand the search for STI's now. This is simply because of Progressive's "Name your price" option that they do. If I can name something for $130-150 a month and still get a used STI for $350 a month, that will be within my budget. Plus...I'm thinking about selling the motorcycle...

    Doesn't seem like it ...

An edit from the NWS area forecast discussion:

ACCUMULATIONS ARE THE NEXT CHALLENGING AREA. AS NOTED ABOVE, THERE
IS A SLIGHT DOWNWARD TREND IN QPFS OVER THE SRN HALF OF THE AREA AND
A SLIGHT INCREASE IN THE N, SO HAVE MADE SOME MINOR ADJUSTMENTS TO
THE SNOW ACCUMULATIONS AS A RESULT. IF THE SNOW REMAINS LIGHT, IT
IS PSBL THAT DURG DAYLIGHT HOURS, THE ACCUMS COULD BE MAINLY ON
GRASSY AREAS AND NORMALLY COLDER SFCS, AT LEAST FOR A FEW HOURS
AFTER ONSET. FOR NOW, WILL STICK WITH A GENL 4-8 INCHES OVER SRN
AREAS, 8-12 INCHES ACRS THE I-95 CORRIDOR S AND E, 12-16 INCHES TO
THE N AND W AND PSBLY SOME 18+ OVER THE POCONOS AND FAR NRN NJ.
