Philly SCCA Autocross this weekend (10/8/06) at Boeing

Anybody going? I'm making the trip up from Baltimore to take a friend to her first Autocross. Thought it would be awesome to see some people up there! Looking forward to it!

Have fun, though I would honestly recommend not going to Boeing for a first timer autcross experience. The course is small (techincal and fun, but small) and the pavement is very rough. And, there is an Eagles game at the Link on Sunday, so traffic will be retarded (unless you run in the AM group) then you'll miss all the non-sense.

I would wait till the October 22 event at Ripken. Not only is it much closer, but the rookie will get much more seat time for their $35 fee.

She lives in Philly, and I'm staying at her place the night before, so the distance is no big. Plus, she's not paying, just riding along and helping work.

Boeing is OK - it is no Ripken for sure. I am in the AM group ... if I am able to go.

Awesome! It'd be great to see you guys out there Bill, I'm finally gonna do as promised and make it up to your neck of the woods. It'd be a shame if you weren't there.
Oh, and Bkotz, many of us cross our daily drivers. My first time out was at the beginning of this season, and I never realized how bad of a driver I was, or how much my car can do until then. So much fun!
