Which Northern NJ dealer is best/recommended for service, mods, etc.?

I bought my 2015 WRX STI Limited from a small dealership just 5 miles from my home and plan on going there for maintenance work. However, I'd like to know which dealership is recommended, as in which have the most knowledgeable and experienced mechanics, for works beyond maintenance? I'm not too far from Bill Kolb Jr., Liberty and Ramsey.

Have you used AZP Installs? Kenilworth is only about 15-20 minutes from me, and it would be great to know that they are a reputable shop.

Another member on here (thatbrobill) had his car modded there and has said nothing but positive things. I've driven his car (albeit briefly in a parking lot) and a few others drove his as well and praised it for being an excellent handling car. AZP is where I will be going for any mods to my car. Highly recommend. I've also dealt with them on the phone and they were nothing but helpful and courteous.

Best dealer in NJ is Ramsey Subaru where Clayton (another member on here and salesman at Ramsey. Username: rexxx0486) works. He is a fantastic salesman and the service department there is easy to work with and semi-mod friendly. They do understand that people mod these cars. So if an engine blows, and the person has suspension work only, they will be understanding. At least that is what I have been told by multiple people.

I will agree Clayton was awesome and easy to work with, but the service department there is nothing to rave about. I bent two wheels within a month of owning the car, had the wheel/tire warranty to repair them. When I went to get the car, I had scratches on the wheels they fixed. Something was on the machine when they remounted the tires. The guy that moves all the cars for service also curbed my right rear rim. Clayton even saw this with his own eyes and said they should take care of it.

This was on a Saturday. They said they would talk to manager and get back to me. Fast forward a few days, the service adviser says the wheel guy is coming back on Friday and they would fix everything. On Thursday I received a phone call from the wheel/tire warranty company telling me that this new claim was going to put me close to the total payout on repairs for appearance only. WTF? The dealership tried to submit a new claim for the damage they did to my wheels. Did you catch the part where the wheel/tire repair man wasn't coming in until Friday but they submitted a claim Thursday? I immediately called the service manager and he acted surprised (suuure, you don't deal with any other bull****) They initially also did not believe the car jockey curbed my rim. I said if the wheel had damage I would have told you about this when I brought it in to get the 2 bent wheels fixed. He knew I was right and eventually they caved and fixed everything at no charge.

This was way too much effort on the part of a customer who just bought a car a month ago and there is 450 miles on the odometer. I will make it a point to never go back there again.

So sorry to hear about your experience there. I am sure you were very frustrated man. Im glad they fixed it at the end but for you to have to go through all that was not fair.

Broken Motorsports in Union City is really good to. I had Billy do all 3 of my belts last week and my car is running great. If you are looking for routine work to be done they will cut you a break on $$ since they are primarily a race shop doing full build outs. I've heard great things about liberty if you really want to go the dealer route, Wayne Subaru used to be really good but I heard they changed owners recently.

They've been around almost 8 years now. Billy has been working on subaru's for over 20 years and his success in the rally series has attracted a lot of great mechanics to work at his shop
