I just saw the 15 WRX in person...and I don't like it.....not at all. Looks like a corolla and a volvo had a bastard child.

To each their own, I'm glad I got mine when I did and did not wait.

Glad you drove it for confirmation

Literally it's better in EVERY way than your 2013.

I own a 2014 and completely disagree with you. I saw it in person today. It's excellent in person. The Corolla comparisons, I feel, are a lazy way to say you don't like it without explaining yourself. I understand your opposition to the car, sure. Everyone likes different looks and aesthetics.

I'm also glad I got mine when I did, because hatch. I also think my car is better looking. But the 2015 is not as bad as everyone says it is. In person, it is literally 1000 times better than in pictures.

Zax....I did not say there were not positive changes to the car. I just can't get past the styling. That for me is a deal breaker. So I don't agree it's better than the 2013.....not to me.

I'm also not sold on the downsizing of the motor to 2.0L either....we'll see if there are reliability issues.

ShiftingLanes....Not lazy, just the best descriptives I can think of. Front end looks sort of Volvo-ish, while the back is very similar to a Corolla. There is something off about the distance between the tops of the wheel wells to hood and trunk lines that don't jive either.

As with all things....they evolve over time. I hope by the time I'm ready to buy again, I hope it's evolved into something I like better.

People can like the 2015 or not. I just happen to fall in the "not" group as far as the styling goes.

I haven't driven one so I can't comment on that, I looked at the WRX in grey at my dealer this weekend and didn't like the looks at all. I also didn't like the wheels. That being said I really enjoyed the interior! Having a 2013 WRX Limited and a 2014 Forester XT. I can say I enjoy both motors, however I would be curious how the 2.0 drives with the 6 speed versus the CVT.

I do not like the new ones either, I dont like the body lines (like others have said, to much like a corolla), I do not like the rear end at all, and the tail lights. The only thing cosmetic i can say that i like is the front end, BUT. looks like subaru was trying to mock the EVO on the front end to me. I understand the new body style has better interior, stiffer suspension, and a better sound system. But with roughly 500-600 bucks i can make my 2011 handle just as well if not better. The 11-14's are the best looking MY IMO. Now thats just my opinion. Not trying to offend anyone who may have a 2015 or have one on order. And honestly, once i start seeing them more I'm sure ill like it. Seems that every new model subaru comes out with I hate at first, then once i get used to them, I like them. So time will tell.

All good. I never liked Hawkeyes or GRs. I personally love the look of the new body style. Subtly aggressive without the in-your-face attitude; eye catching and yet I won't be embarrassed to take executives out to dinner.

... Well at least after I get rid of that embarrassing wing

So correct me if im wrong here, but the 15 wrx has the new fa20 engine right? But they kept the ej257 for the sti's? Wonder why they would do that? hmmmmm. Does anyone know what turbo's they are using on the wrx and the sti? Is it still the vf series?

    Correct.

    Same VF48 in the STi

New embedded Garrett turbo for the WRX

These topics have been discussed in great detail.

Thanks for the clarification. And i really havent been following all the hype on the new bodystyle. I was just curious. At first i was under the impression that they utilized the the fa20 engine in the sti too. Interesting though.

    If only...

I would buy an STi with a 268hp FA20 over a 305hp EJ257. Sadly I was not presented with that option.
