All that talk about getting a cheesesteak meet off the ground and no one has taken initiative. Damn Philadelphians.
Ok, so I figure a Saturday is going to be the best day. Weekdays are tough for most people, and we can't eat cheesesteaks without Mikie and he can't do Sundays.
The questions that remain:
What saturday? I assume we want to do this sooner rather than later, so we're looking at:
Nov. 24
Dec. 1
Dec. 15
Dec. 22
I kept out the 8th because I am working that day :P
I'm thinking we can meet at or near the Art Museum, hang out for a bit, then do a quick loop of Kelly Drive and West River Dri...er...MLK Drive. I always forget they renamed it. As far as cheesesteaks go, my personal favorite is Dalessandros, but we may need to carefully consider which place we go to based on how many people/cars it looks like there will be. Parking may be an issue.
Finally, if no one is opposed to eating a cheesesteak before noon, we'll probably want to meet relatively early to attempt to avoid too much traffic. Maybe 10ish?
Open to thoughts, suggestions, and reservations. Anyone who is interested in coming, just post up what days work for you. I'll take care of keeping track. Want to keep the poll option open since there are a few variables to consider.

^^same, was going to make the Meat Meet thread today lol. a member pm'ed me yesterday and said that he could only make it if it were a sunday but didnt know mikie couldnt do sundays. sooo whatever date is good for me, and idc where we go to eat, any time any place. the question i had was i saw pics of the art mueseum meat and they were parking like near the stairs and getting good pics...is that illegal? just curious.

My only suggestion would be to go to Tony Luke's for a steak, while they're not my favorite, there's a really nice private parking lot there for all of us to get into. I don't know of any other steak place that has something like that. So even if we wanted to chill and just hang out, we could all be in the same lot with plenty of room.

While I'm here, if I may suggest a meeting spot?...
I have been to a meet at this location before. It's uphill, provides a great view of the city, is right off of Kelly drive, and pretty secluded. Where the X is on the map is a random parking lot on top of the hill at the park. It's also really easy to get to.

We would definitely only be able to do that at night, and fri-sat-sun is like a madhouse of tourism up there, we could definitely try it if everyone wants to make this a night meating.

Is it the same situation at night on a saturday? I just think that if we try a weekday it'll cut out a lot of people. But if we can do the whole park-on-the stairs thing on a Saturday night then by all means, let's do that. Those pics are sweet. And then after the meat I can get Mikie to buy me a beer.

man am i so upset that i have not ben to one subi meet yet but work on saterdays 2pm to 10 pm so ill miss this one to only days off r sunday and tuesday
