Winter setup on.. but no SNOW!!

Whats up with that I figured I'd get a head start on my winter setup on my WRX running 205/55/16s with '02 wrx rims on, I'm ready for this snow but we haven't gotten any! makes me a little upset lol.

I bought my 09 rex last year, particularly for winter, after last years winter. But alas... No snow!!! I'm a little more than upset... I'm out right pissed off! But what ya gonna do? I've got a feeling that we will get about 5 feet of snow in March.

Lol its cool man, Yeah I am also PTFO. Last years winter we had a ton of snow. This year we have about 1 inch and 1/2 of snow in total! I've seen some stores putting out Summer supplys already -___-

yeah, I'm thinking about getting my summers on already to get a little bit better mpgs! lol Heard songbirds out yesterday and this morning. Wouldn't be surprised if we get up to 60 today.

I know as soon as I put back on my summer setup we'll get a foot of snow! I'll probably hold off till about mid-March.

yep, we've had two snow falls... Once in Oct. and one in (I think it was) December. But it all melted within 2 days. Maybe get a few inches tomorrow I hear.

It's been a mild winter but the few times it does snow I'm thankful to have the snow tires

Why do you think you'd get better MPGs with your summer setup?

Even without snow, winter tires will perform much better in cold weather. People call them "snow tires" but they're really "winter tires."

Yeah most people say temps below 40 can cause the tires to grip poorly

Call it an observation. having knobby winter tires on as apposed to directional, have always shown better mpg's for me. It doesn't hurt that the warmer weather helps as well. But even if it's just 1-2 mpg difference, it's still a difference

Wouldn't have thought back on 1/13 that we'd have such a mild winter. I'm OK with little or no snow this year. Very OK.

There is at least a few weeks of potential big snow. 3/13/96 there was a storm that dumped 30" over much of the region.

Meanwhile I'm searching for Summer tires all over right now because mine are fried. The winters are getting more summer use than my summers did...and its 62 degrees here in NJ right now.

Yea, im considering changing mine back too, especially after todays heat wave. But i know the temp will drop back out again..btw your post counter is a palindrome
