    Technically speaking you are right...each lightning "strike" is composed of hundreds of strikes actually...each one is micrometers off from each other. So technically, that little figure of speech is correct

    The weather has turned on us a bit. Unless it is a big 'Nor Easter (it isn't) the meet is still on!

    I'm thinking / hoping the real rain will not start until Saturday night / Sunday:

    Friday Night: A slight chance of rain. Cloudy, with a low around 35. South wind between 7 and 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

    Saturday: A chance of rain. Cloudy, with a high near 56. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.

    Saturday Night: A chance of rain. Cloudy, with a low around 43. Chance of precipitation is 50%.

    Sunday: Rain. High near 52. Chance of precipitation is 80%.

    Sunday Night: Rain likely. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 31. Chance of precipitation is 60%.
