Ok this may be blasphemy but ...

I just had one and didn't like it at all.

If I had to describe it in 1 word: slimy.

Don't get me wrong, I love Wawa. I have a sandwich from them for lunch about 3x a week.

I think I just might have to try a different store for another Gobbler. I really REALLY want to like it!!

They are not a pretty sandwich and tend to be sloppy / gooey. The weakest part are the rolls. They could be denser to stand up to the slop.

To me the flavors work perfectly together. There is some variability on how they are made - some are tastier than others.

For fast food I think they are nothing short of great.

There are no Wawa's in central PA. BUT, one of the local deli places started making their version of the sammich as soon as November hit. I've had about 8 since.

    For the uninitiated:

If you do not like soggy bread, this is not the sandwich for you.

My wife will not touch them.

I tried the bowl last week. It was clearly the easier to eat, but just not the same.

Had a 6" Gobbler for lunch today. I think it was the soggiest, sloppiest one I've had so far ... and probably the tastiest. The balance / ratio of turkey, gravy, stuffing and cranberry sauce was near perfection. This sandwich really needs a roll that can stand up to the slop.

I have been told the Gobbler will be going into hibernation soon. Get 'em while you can.
