Central PA Cruise Set for Sept. 19 2009

Come out and join us on September 19th, 2009 for a fun cruise threw back roads of Northumberland County!

Where: Meet at Shikellamy State Park. Located between Sunbury and Northumberland on The Island. Right of Route 147.

When:September 19th, 2009.
Plan to meet at the Park anywhere from 10-11.
Cruise will start at 11am.

Cruise: Cruise will be about 1 1/2 hours long with about a 50/50 mix of paved and gravel roads.

After Cruise: After the cruise i planned on getting some food at a local restaurant and taking some pictures on top of Shikellamy Overlook. Which overlooks Sunbury/ Northumberland and the Susquehanna River.

Anyone is welcome to come and any car is welcome to come as long as you dont mind driving on gravel roads. A Co-driver is a good idea for picture taking.

Sounds good. I am trying to get some others to come out, a lotus and a xb. What do you have in mind when you say gravel roads? Can you post up a map of the route? How many people do we have going so far?

Well the roads are a little rough at times but arent too bad. I'll try to get a map of the route sometime in the next couple days.
Not sure on a count yet either. Gonna see if i can talk to some guys around here with subies about comin along.

We drove my car on the roads and they were not bad but if our car is slamed we will have to go some what slower on like two i belive. I am keping my good wheels on if that matters there not to bad

I will also have my summer wheels on. If the lotus comes out, I'm not sure if he will want to drive on those roads.
