Thumbs down Vick with the Eagles?

?I?ve done terrible things,? new Eagle Vick says - NFL- nbcsports.msnbc.com

    What are the Eagles thinking?

When he was first charged he denied wrongdoing Vick denies crime - Roanoke.com Any chance to be forgiven was lost there IMO.

Once the evidence was gathered he finally owned up to what he did. Loser.

    I hope the Eagles go 3-13 this season. 0 - 16?

I wonder if he killed that one?

I hope herpes was only the tip of the karma-iceberg for this fool.

I had to wiki it myself: "Ron Mexico" was the name Vick commonly used at STD clinics to get treatment for his herpes! Ewwwwwwwwww! Fans were buying jerseys off of NFL.com with Vick's number and team but with "MEXICO" printed across the back! NFL.com now bans these. Boooo.

I'm not even an Eagles fan and I was thinking about getting one of those.

    NFL FTL.

If I know Philly fans, chants of "RON MEXICO!" may welcome him to the field. One can hope.

I also have to say that as a VT alum that got to watch Vick during his time in Blacksburg, I am quite a bit excited to see him coming to the Eagles. However, I don't think very highly of him at all as a person, and his brother Marcus was even worse. I guess I look at it like this: You can take the man out of the hood, but you can't take the hood out of the man.

I hope that he will leave all of this stupidity behind him and get to playing some damn good football.

I still want my Ron Mexico jersey.

I thought that would be a good spot for him. I mean EVERYBODY on that team was in jail at some point.

That's the problem with the NFL - it's OK to be a criminal / felon. Would any of us get a job in the real world with Vick's conviction on our record? **** the NFL and the Eagles!

Pete Rose was banned for life from baseball for betting, an arguably lesser offense than what Vick was convicted of and initially denied involvement in.

Betting by professional athletes is tantamount to insider trading. In the eyes of the leagues, gambling tarnishes their credibility and is the most heinous offense possible.

It is not as bad in reality, but businesses usually do not make moral judgements.

An escalator can never break. It can only become stairs. You would never see an ‘Escalator Temporarily Out Of Order’ sign, just ‘Escalator Temporarily Stairs. Sorry for the convenience.’ - Mitch Hedberg

Amen! Yet we all continue to watch football and support the cycle.
