I also have to say that as a VT alum that got to watch Vick during his time in Blacksburg, I am quite a bit excited to see him coming to the Eagles. However, I don't think very highly of him at all as a person, and his brother Marcus was even worse. I guess I look at it like this: You can take the man out of the hood, but you can't take the hood out of the man.

I hope that he will leave all of this stupidity behind him and get to playing some damn good football.

That's the problem with the NFL - it's OK to be a criminal / felon. Would any of us get a job in the real world with Vick's conviction on our record? **** the NFL and the Eagles!

Betting by professional athletes is tantamount to insider trading. In the eyes of the leagues, gambling tarnishes their credibility and is the most heinous offense possible.

It is not as bad in reality, but businesses usually do not make moral judgements.
