    Fmic..

Anyone with some knowledge on a cheap yet quality build fmic kit? Not looking to get one now but for down the road it would be nice to have some other opinions. I also have read about fm vs. tm. There seem to be alot of floating around concerning the differences. Just some personal experience, or knowledge would b awesome. Thanks

i had an ssac fmic on my stage 4 wrx swapped gc. thing seemed real nice for the price. When i get a fmic for the wagon thats def the brand im gonna buy. They sell for around $500(for gd's) on ebay and come with everything u need. I didnt notice much lag, comparing now to my stock wrx. I had a p&p vf39 with the fmic and now with the turd turbo, it hit boost only like 200rpms after the stock and no heat soak. but if u want name brand jsc is an awesome bunch of guys. right in montgomeryville pa by the mall. very quick shipping, but im lucky cause i can go drive 10 mins and pick it up.

For the amount of power he's making he'd benefit from a better core.

The initial tune when he put the Garrett core on put him at 505whp on pump (no meth) IIRC, so that's ~50whp gain. The larger injectors and top-feed conversion got him up to 550whp on 93 and 613whp on C16.

From what dyno sheets I've seen, the SSAC FMIC will outperform most any TMIC - TXS/Spearco are about even, but for the $$ you'd spend, you can get a meth setup and get a lot more power.
