Katrina, Veronica, an Imreza "i" badge and my Saturday

I had a really awsome road trip with my 2006 Subaru Impreza WRX wagon yesterday. Many of you have met her, her name is Katrina. She is fairly well modded. She has a Perrin divorced and catted downpipe mated to a SPT exhaust. She breathes through an overpriced STi filter into a heavily shielded td04. Her brain is full of Cobb stage 2 thoughts and had an STi intercooler. She stands on gutted stock struts with adjustable Koni inserts (still blowing you kisses for this, JR) and RCE pre-production wagon springs. She has a nice sway to her with 22MM solid Whiteline bars and I dressed her in black tint and some sexxxy Rally Armor classic flaps. She is a sexy rally wagon and I love her dearly. She helped me rip through the Tail of the Dragon last September. Here's a few pix:

Yesterday we did a 700 mile drive for the hell of it! We did tarmac, highway, the PA woods!


So this morning I awoke and went to Fred Beans Subaru (aka The King of Parts) for an Impreza "i" badge since my Pleiades badge has gotten chewed up during my 78K miles with her. I knew that my time with her was getting short. 78K original miles.

I was greeted at Fred Beans very unexpectedly. As I was pulling into the lot, Veronica was pulling my gaze across the lot. At first I felt guilt, but I knew it was meant to be. She's the only STi year I really wanted and in the colors I wanted. She was a single divorcee. She had a few miles on her but had taken very good care of herself. Her man was older and she was too much for him. Katrina was ready for someone else, too. She needed someone that had the time to get her in running order after all those fun miles. I hope she finds someone that has the same love for Subies that I do.

Apart from me that has been the most entertaining post I have read, it's a real shame people don't really understand to express themselves. Obviously after reading your post I know you are not one short for words.

It's was good to see that love has no bounds, I am in a similar position where I have a classic ipmort 300 bhp called Thelma ( keeping with the Scooby theme ) we have had fun this year raced around Silverstone GP1 circuit and been Drag Racing ( 7 runs 14 sec qtr )

However I have had my eye on a MY05 Hawk Eye and the more I think about it the more I want it. Never good if you start dreaming about cars ayy.

So my choices buy the STI and keep the classic to. Or sell the classic and just invest in the best STI I can find

Having one Scooy is wicked having two is greedy so the decision would be out with the old and in with the new.

Good things is I have loads of pictures of the car and videos of racing her around the track and on the drag strip.

I will however shed a tear when she is gone.

Only to be replaced with a MFing massive grin when the STI arrives

I finally get to see the car! I was over at KOP getting some parts myself when Jon sent me a text. I had just left, but turned around and we hung out for about 45 min. waiting for the hottness to show up.

Jon, you'll have to take me out for a spin when we get the chance.

She's a beast. I took her out in the woods and we got dirty today. It was lovely.
