    Plains This Afternoon And Track Into The Tennessee Valley
    Tonight. Meanwhile, A Secondary Area Of Low Pressure Will Develop
    And Move Off The Mid Atlantic Coast On Friday. The Complex Weather
    System Will Bring Wintry Precipitation To The Region Starting Late
    Tonight And Continuing Through Friday Night.

    The National Weather Service In Mount Holly Has Issued A Winter
    Storm Warning, Which Is In Effect From 1 Am Friday To 1 Am Est
    Saturday. The Winter Storm Watch Is No Longer In Effect.

    Snow Is Expected To Develop After Midnight Tonight And Accumulate Up
    To Two Inches By Dawn. The Snow Will Continue During The Day Friday,
    But It Is Expected To Mix With Or Change To Sleet, Freezing Rain Or
    Rain Late In The Afternoon. Precipitation May Change Back To Snow
    Before Ending By Dawn Saturday.

    At This Time, The Forecast Total Of Snow And Sleet Accumulation Is 3
    To 5 Inches, With The Highest Amounts Over Northwest Chester, Upper
    Montgomery And Upper Bucks Counties In Pennsylvania And Over The
    Higher Elevations Of North Central New Jersey.

    In Addition, One-quarter To One-half Inch Of Ice Accrual Is Expected
    During The Period Of Freezing Rain. This Level Of Ice Accrual Can
    Cause Downed Trees And Power Lines And Result In Power Outages.

    This Storm Is Forecast To Directly Impact The Friday Morning And
    Evening Commutes. People Who Need To Commute On Friday Should Allow
    Extra Time.

    A Winter Storm Warning Means Significant Amounts Of Snow, Sleet And
    Ice Are Expected. This Will Make Travel Very Hazardous Or
    Impossible. Stay Tuned To Noaa Weather Radio All Hazards Or Local
    Media Outlets For The Latest Updates On This System.

    They need to add to the warning "Watch for non-Subarus coming toward you in an uncontrolled state."

    ^ Ah yep. Plenty of Subaru owners screw the pooch in the snow. AWD does not stop you or give you lateral grip.

    Gassing up the Subaru tonight. Will bring the Ice Scraper inside so it's nice and warm tomorrow morning. The snow tires are still on the STI.

    I couldn't agree more.

    I was actually thinking of last week when it snowed and I nearly got hit by every make available on the US market while on my 20 mile commute home. The Subies I did see all formed a line and kept a constant speed. Guess I found them at the right time.
