some people liked them, some people said NEVER go to them
They've done every single mod on my car, and I have no regrets.
You're never going to find a shop with a perfect track record. I recommend PT to anyone who asks because they have treated me well.
When they were installing my turbo, my TGV's ended up getting broken somehow - I forget the code, but the TGV circuit wasn't functioning. I told them I drove here without a check engine light, and I'm not driving home with one. They ended up doing a manual TGV delete/port/polish for me for free.
When I was job hunting and working down to a few weeks left on my contract at my old job - and the modding bug still had not let go of me - they hooked me up with my exhaust for $150. Bosal Divorced DP, gutted 3rd cat, Cobb 3" Catless.
I haven't seen them trash talk any other shops, and I've found Rich to be extremely knowledgeable and also not quick to make blanket statements on things. There's more reasons I could list - but it comes down to this. When I have questions, they have answers. They're good to me, and I'm good to them.

BillFromTR had a bad experience with them, or so he told me. I can't recall if he told me the details and I forgot(possible) or if he simply told me that he had a bad experience and wouldn't go back(also possible).
Do you know of any other forum members who you could name instead of simply saying "some people"?
I honestly think a lot of dealing with a shop has to do with how you get along with them. I want a shop that is level headed - not a place run by someone who runs around taunting others using "bro" every other word. But that is just me, to each their own.
I was at a meet last week organized by BillFromTR and there was a kid there from another local shop with a dyno in TR, when I mentioned PT he was visually stifling himself - but at least he made the effort. I would have preferred that he just said "they are another option" or some other Switzerland-like statement, but he seemed like a nice enough kid. He was handing out business cards and I told him I'd like to put my car on his shops dyno. I'm planning on stopping by there when I get some free time and will probably put my car on their dyno just so I can compare numbers with anyone who decides to go on their dyno. It should also help establish or at least start establishing what the variance is between their dyno and PT's.
