I have been kicking the idea around of doing a Midnight Rally. I have been brainstorming this idea with a few other people on the forums too. This will be my first TSD. I am always open to suggestions, input, guidence, opinions, ect.
The "basic" idea is like the subject states. Start the rally at midnight at a coffee shop. Then find the predetermined coffee shops along the pre-planned route. You will have to check in at each checkpoint to continue. The rally will be in a TSD format (time, speed, distance). Check TSD Rally, to get the general idea of what event will be all about. This is NOT an actually TSD rally, but rather a fun run using a TSD format you promote a safe event. In the same breath, this will not be like the previous fun runs I have hosted. Every team will be given specific directions and sent out in timed intervals to drive the course within posted speed limits. The team that gets to the finish with the most accurate time and mileage will be awarded the winner.
Seem simple enough? Maybe in the daylight, probably not so simple in the dark.
If you are interested in participating you must PM me directly.

Hey NJ guys, Hazelton is easy to get to and is right off of I-80. Its only about an hour tops west of the NJ border. Pennsylvania woods are fun at night!![]()
I did a test run "tonight". I wanted to see how the run would go in the dark. The off road sections are awesome. I think it will be a good time. I look forward to getting feedback after the run.

There have been some talk about pushing the start time back a couple hours. I have sent PM's to everyone on the rosters. If you have not got the PM sorry. Just thought I would throw this out to any other interested people that have not signed on yet.
This is not set in stone yet. I will keep you updated when a decision has been made.

As much as I'd like to join in on this shin dig... 2hr and 15min just to get there is a bit much. Have fun tho!
It's all about rally racing, nothing more.
On second thought maybe its all about Rally Racing and Auto-X
