Saturday Nov. 9th Meet in Queens, NYC

The Subaru Queens Club (http://www.sqc-ny.com) is having a meet at Alley Pond Park, 76th Avenue and Springfield Blvd. I highly encourage anyone in the area to come. People usually arrive by 11 am or so. It's a great way to meet other WRX owners, especially to talk shop and check out modifications first hand. Hopefully, it won't be so cold. Even Crazy Al in his 11 sec WRX makes regular appearances!

If you're coming from Woodside, take LIE east to Springfield Blvd exit. Make a right turn onto Springfield Blvd, follow till 76th Ave and make a left at the light. That's the 76th Ave entrance.

Reasons why I'm sad that I'll be out of town and can't make it to this meet:

1. I have a Subaru and I'm reppin' Queens. It just fits.
2. The SQC guys are cool as hell. I saw one with the super dope blaze yellow sedan on the highway last weekend, and he rolled down his window in the pouring rain just to wave to me.
3. The Fizz Autosports guys will probably be there. They have a shop nearby that sells so much JDM WRX stuff.

If you possibly can go, DO IT!

I'm not happy with this roving meet thing. I showed up at the park at 3:30pm, and everyone was gone. I went to Fizz, and they said everyone was on their way to Jones Beach. I left to chase them down. A mile from Jones beach, I saw a pack of WRX's going the other way on the highway. No fun.

we shoulda stayed where we was had a bbq etc...
141.2 mile road trip for me and i still saw "no sand"
just jones beach tarmac and a tower i musta lapped like 5-6 times

Agree with Andy on this............very lucky that nobody received a ticket as that Jones Beach tarmac rolled by pretty quickly. BTW Andy, had you followed me you would have seen some JB sand. I was trying to get everyone into the Field 6 parking lot. Mulder was the only one to follow. Next time we are the home team.........
