I plan on bringing the EVO, just parking way at the end of the lot.

IF I still have it. Looking to trade it in on a WRX wagon.

found the directions from last year. gotta love the old school copy n paste

I drove the area the other day. For anyone that mapquested the dir you would have a small problem, missing street signs! another thing is that colonial park has 2 entrances to the main park plus two other areas nearby. God I love Jersey (raised in NY)
Fixxer is designing some signs for the meet. This should cure the missing street sign issue.

    Here are the directions:

    From Long Island:
Take the Belt Parkway towards Staten Island.
Take exit 3 or 4 for the Verrazano Narrows Bridge. The upper level is the preffered way b/c you will need to stay left after you pay your toll (EZPASS owns)
Stay on SI expressway till you get to West Shore Expressway 440(think its exit 5).
Take 440 west shore expressway to the Outerbridge Crossing ( should be exit 2)
Go over bridge ( no toll ) stay left. 440 becomes 287 after the ramp for Nj turnpike.
Take exit 10 for Easton Ave rt 527 south
When you are taking exit 10 stay Left for 527 SOUTH
Switch over to the Right lane afterward or you will go back onto 287.
At the 2nd light make a Right onto Cedar Grove Lane.
Stay on cedar grove for 2 miles.
Make a Right onto Weston Road. ( small blue sign, hard to read, prob put a sign there)
Make a Left at the next light which is Elizabeth ave.
Make a Right at Colonial Park sign.

    From Most areas in NJ:
Take NJ Turnpike to exit 10 287
    Follow signs for 287 north.
Take exit 10 on 287 For Easton ave rt 527 South
When you are taking exit 10 stay Left for 527 SOUTH
Switch over to the Right lane afterward or you will go back onto 287.
At the 2nd light make a Right onto Cedar Grove Lane.
Stay on cedar grove for 2 miles.
Make a Right onto Weston Road. ( small blue sign, hard to read, prob put a sign there)
Make a Left at the next light which is Elizabeth ave.
Make a Right at Colonial Park sign.

I talked to the rep for the parks dept.
Bad news. Colonial Park is all booked up permit wise for the summer.

    Here are the options:
1 use lot b which is a first come first serve area that does have bbq grills or
    2 pick another park.

Last year the same thing kinda happened. We tried to book the lot with a permit but found out it was booked but we did it anyway! The rain prob kept whoever booked the area away.

    What are your thoughts?

There is a nice park up by me that would probably make a good spot. If anyone is interested in coming up north, you could try them. http://www.morrisparks.net/parks/silasmain.htm
